Dr. Marcelo Viana Bendix is a board-certified endocrinologist with more than three decades of experience in internal medicine and endocrinology. He trained at Jackson Memorial Hospital and the University of Miami School of Medicine, completing his residency in Internal Medicine and an extended fellowship in Endocrinology, Diabetes, and Metabolism. He holds dual board certifications from the American Board of Internal Medicine—in Internal Medicine and in Endocrinology, Diabetes, and Metabolism.

His career includes extensive clinical, academic, and leadership roles. He served as research faculty and instructor in medicine at the University of Miami School of Medicine, where he taught medical students and supervised clinical training. He also held positions as Staff Physician and Assistant Coordinator at the Veterans Affairs Medical Center’s Diabetes Education and Management Clinic. Over the years, he has published and co-authored research on bone metabolism, neuroendocrine regulation, and cellular communication, presenting at international conferences in endocrinology and geriatrics.

Dedicated to advancing endocrine care, Dr. Bendix is recognized for his expertise in managing diabetes, thyroid disease, metabolic bone disorders, and complex hormonal conditions.
