Appointment Scheduling
We are currently scheduling new patient appointments and follow-up appointments.
New Patients:
- Referral Required by our Providers: Your primary care doctor must send us your referral and medical records before scheduling an appointment. Please refer to the “New Patients” tab for more details. We will contact you to schedule once all necessary information is received.
- Primary Care Requirement: You must have a primary care doctor to be eligible for a new patient appointment.

Existing Patients:
- Appointments: If you need to make, reschedule, or cancel an appointment, please call our office at (305) 273-1919 Alternatively, you can log into your patient portal account to submit a request to change your appointment.
Insurance Information:
- Insurance Notice: Please note that we are not providers for Medicaid.
- Insurance Responsibility: All patients are responsible for contacting their insurance provider to confirm whether we are in-network with their policy.
Prescription Refill Requests
There are several ways to request prescriptions from Endocrinologists Specialists of South Florida:
- Contact Your Pharmacy
For refills of medications you are already taking, the easiest method is often to have your pharmacy request the refill electronically from our office. They will provide the necessary information, and we will send the authorization directly to them.
- Online via Our Website
If you are a current patient, you can request a prescription refill and access other online patient services by creating a personal account OR through your PATIENT PORTAL.
- Call Our Office
You can also call us during business hours at (305) 273-1919 . Please be ready to provide the following:
- Your name, birth date, and phone number
- The name of the medication, dosage (e.g., Synthroid 0.1 mg), quantity, and frequency of use
- Your pharmacy’s name, location, and phone number
- Diabetic Supplies: To order diabetic supplies, please follow these steps:
- Contact Your Supplier: Reach out to your diabetic supplier and ask them to fax your request to our office at fax number (305) 273-1929. Your supplier will know the necessary device details and item numbers required.
- Processing Time: Please be aware that suppliers may take up to 5 business days to process your request.
- Not sure who your supplier is: Reach out to your pump company and they can help direct you to who you need to call.
Please Note:
- Refills may take up to three full business day for us to process your request. Your pharmacy may require additional time to fill your prescription, so please plan accordingly.
- We cannot refill prescriptions if you have not been seen in the clinic for over a year or if you have missed scheduled follow-up appointments.
Virtual Visits
Virtual Telemedicine appointments are available. Check with the office to see if you are eligible.
Endocrinologists Specialists of South Florida offers limited virtual visits, depending on your needs. These virtual video visits are conducted via ZOOM.
Please note the following requirements and guidelines:
- Technology Requirements: You must have access to a camera and a microphone to participate in a virtual visit. If you are unable to meet these requirements, your appointment will be canceled, as phone call visits are not available.
- Insurance Coverage: It is the patient’s responsibility to check with their insurance provider to ensure that virtual telemedicine appointments are covered.
- Scheduling:
- Existing Patients: You can schedule your appointment by calling our office or using the patient portal on our website. If you need assistance with the portal, please contact us for help.
- New Patients: Please call our office directly to schedule your first appointment.
- Provider Discretion: We reserve the right to convert any virtual visit to an in-office appointment based on the provider’s discretion.
Diabetic Patients: All diabetic patients are required to upload and connect their diabetic devices to our office system. If this is not completed, your virtual visit will need to be rescheduled as an in-office appointment.
