Dr. Irina C. Delgado Varela

Dr. Irina C. Delgado Varela is a board-certified endocrinologist with certification in Internal Medicine and in Endocrinology, Diabetes, and Metabolism. She trained in Internal Medicine at Flushing Hospital Medical Center in New York and completed her fellowship in Endocrinology at SUNY Downstate Medical Center, where she was actively involved in clinical research on thyroid disease and diabetes management.
Originally from Cuba, Dr. Delgado Varela earned her medical degree at the Villa Clara Institute of Medical Sciences. Her career spans over 20 years of medical practice, teaching, and research in Cuba, Venezuela, and the United States.
Since 2019, she has been practicing in Miami, Florida, providing comprehensive care for patients with endocrine and metabolic disorders. She is fluent in English and Spanish and is an active member of the Endocrine Society.
